Went back to bunk for a short break and headed back up for another CTCM class! Watched another video! After lessons, went back to bunk, changed my clothes and went off for a jog together with Yee Tat, Jehanne and Calista! The field was occupied by one whole bunch of people wearing army uniform… but heck, we still ran! Surprisingly, I ran pretty fast… which was not what I was expecting as I thought I was considered quite slow due to my lack of performance for my last NAPFA test in secondary four.
Went out for dinner with the MDE people and lecturers! Ate at a small restaurant right outside the school! Drank a bit, and then headed back to dorm, but not before meeting the China Student’s Representative for a short briefing of tomorrow’s activity! Watched Da Chang Jin and prepared notes for my report the whole night… I was busy replaying the scene when Jang Guem confessed to Min Zhen Hao! LOL! And you must understand this – up till now, girls don’t usually take the first step, much less in their times! Went to bed about 2am~
Day 15! Woke up at 6, then 8, finally at 10 haha… met the China students at 1.30, boarded the bus and off we went to a tangerine field by bus! And I’m seriously not going to trust their definition of a short distance ._. Went and heck a load of fun looking for good tangerines! What we are looking for is ones that are soft and big! We left at about 4.30, went back to the hostel for awhile, then we headed off to the BBQ pits!
It right outside school… and the pits wasn’t exactly what we expected… it was just a raised area for us to put the wires on… had a lot of fun setting up the fire, using leaves, twigs, branches and stuff!

The ICT people were setting off fireworks! Pwetty ^.^ and as we didn’t exactly eat a lot at the BBQ, we(Jehanne, Chen Wei, Ying Li and me) went over to the Western restaurant and had dinner, grabbed some food from the bakery and headed back to hostel!

Day 16! Had a rather bad night’s sleep… had yet another online meeting in the morning before headed off for morning IS! This time, the teacher is Mr. Christopher! We were taught via using headsets! Quite a good system, as it blocks off unnecessary background noises!

Today, it’s on Chinese Weddings, Chinese Table Manners and Feng Shui! Learnt a lot of things that I didn’t even know, and I’m Chinese! LOL!
Went back to hostel, did laundry, grabbed lunch and headed back to FLS for CTCM! Thought they changed classrooms as the usual one is locked… but apparently, it was just not opened yet and the rest of the class is in another classroom! Went to the correct classroom once its open… and we learnt about Chinese herbs! Went out for dinner at the Western restaurant again, grabbed breakfast for tomorrow at the bakery and went back to rush out the report till 3am!

The army people marching towards Canteen 2! They were singing so loudly too haha!
Day 17! Slept in as our classes are in the afternoon… went for class where we learnt about massage and exercise… then we discussed about the future of TCM and what are the possible ways to resolve the differences between TCM and CWM!
Came back, continued to chiong report, and went back to the same Western restaurant, and after that went back to the same bakery! Chatted with my dear GLs and SGLs who are having their OTC tomorrow… wish I could be there too Packed up for the excursion for the next day and went to sleep early…
================================
I guess, being Chinese doesn’t necessarily mean that I know the true Chinese customs after all!
On mainland China, where the civilization of the Chinese people began, that’s where they hold all the true traditions!
But now you wonder why most of the traditions aren’t brought over to Singapore! Perhaps one of the classical examples will be fireworks. Singapore banned the use of fireworks, of course due to safety reasons! Perhaps there are many underlying factors that brought the end of several traditions in the Singapore Chinese community, that are just waiting to be revived back in Singapore.
