Went together with the entire crowd of MDE back to the Grand Ocean!
Yee Tat, Dr Tan and I went to check out something that you’ll never see in Singapore…
McPork! In Mcdonalds :D
The way they work here in McDonalds is quite interesting too… you can buy a discount at 5 RMB before you buy your food! In fact… it’s more worth it that way! After Dr. Tan got the card, he passed it to us as well as some MDE people who came by, as advised by the lady at the counter! Definitely worth the 5 RMB! But I wonder why the staff there will actually give advice that would cause them to earn less though…
Took a walk around the mall after that! Long long long long long walk!

Abandoned cars within the mall :O

They have vending machines! And that’s the first I’ve seen in China… LOL

无饿不坐!That means if you are not hungry, don’t sit! It sounds similar to 无恶不作, which means there is no evil that can’t be done! Nice play with words xD

Their arcade! And their drums game is with real drums!!

Their cinema!

Their Pharmacy! It is mostly Chinese-herbal remedies though… the drugs are all kept by the Pharmacist.
They have a section for herbs as well!

McDonalds? They sell almost the same stuff :P
Of course, having this interesting sign is sure to attract more customers!

Strangely, I have only found 1 toilet in these sprawling grounds! And it’s in here, another part of the mall… I wonder why don’t they have more toilets???
We then crossed the road to another part of the mall… and the same attraction there would be: 书城! Aka, City of Books… and it’s no joke why they call it as such…. It’s a HUGE area filled with shelves upon shelves of BOOKS! Of course, all in Chinese :X Here, they also restrict the bringing of bags in, so we used the lockers right outside…
The lockers are quite interesting! After closing the locker door, they will print a receipt for you! This receipt has a bar code, which when scanned by a machine, will cause the locker for which the receipt is printed for to open! That technology for you!

Jehanne with the lockers!
We went back after that, and were informed that we have a mini campus tour the next day…
Before that, here’s an interesting photo to take note of. Literally

I really really wonder, why do they have notes for 0.5 and 1 RMB when they have the coins for it? The locals have no answer for it when I enquired, they just take it as such!
============================================
On day 4, we had our mini-campus tour!
But somehow it was shortened to just a walk over to the place where we will be having our lessons: The Foreign Language School!

The library! Apparently, first years and people like us: immersion students are not allowed to borrow books from there!

Danger sign!

Our school here!

Finally… a sign encouraging the use of English!

An introduction of the school at the entrance!

These words again o.o
And the tour guide isn’t very sure about the origins and meaning behind the words either =(

Motivational words on the walls of every classroom!

YESSS!! THERES A TOILET HERE!
Seriously, it’s kinda sad that there are so little toilets in a university =.=

The famous words ;)

Our classroom!

Dr Tan!

No smoking? Like real!

School of Business

School of Law and Literature

And we finally found Canteen 1! Why isn’t it right at the main entrance…?
A very very short tour, and we are back to Free and Easy time again!
Started our blogging and stuff, then we had a briefing at 9pm by an ICT lecturer who has been there before!
Our destination is 绿林山庄, a 4 hours bus ride away! We have to be at the admin building by 7.30am, means it’s going to be a real butt ache on the bus =.=”
Had a rough run through of the program, and we are off to bed!
